	ViArchive XPRESS: accuracy to your video archives - from upload
	ViArchive XPRESS is a product developed to facilitate precise uploading of videos and segments of videos to archives. XPRESS allows users to prepare files for upload, and edit metadata before uploading.
	ViArchive XPRESS is developed with the special needs of environments in mind, where only segments of video files are of interest to upload to the archives, like for example surveillance, police and defense. Users can prepare files for upload by cutting and transcoding clips. Any parts of the video clips which are not needed in the archive can easily be cut away, which saves both time and disk space. Before uploading, the user adds required metadata. As the metadata is added before upload, the videos are instantly searchable in the online archives. ViArchive XPRESS is a powerful desktop application for uploading of videos and segments to video archives. Functionality includes: - cutting out segments - transcoding full videos or segments - viewing and editing metadata - saving XMP-sidecar - autofill metadata from database (ODBC) - unwrap MXF files - uploading to archives - burning files to DVDs - support of H264 / AAC codec (mp4 and f4v)

	Transcode files and segments
	Cutting out a segment is quick and user friendly. Users select the segment they wish to cut out, choose export format and save the file. Entire files may be transcoded as well. The solution supports the H264 / AAC codec (mp4 and f4v).
	Metadata / Sidecars
	Users can easily add or change file info and keywords. The ViArchive XPRESS automatically recognizes previously saved sidecar to loaded video file. If the file has no sidecar, it is created when the user adds and saves metadata. ViArchive XPRESS also provides an autofill function for adding metadata. This allows users to automatically fill in metadata from databases by an ODB Connection. Any metadata connected to the file’s task number is then added to the sidecar.
	Archiving: Uploading or burning to DVD
	ViArchive XPRESS provides for both server and hard-copy archives. Video files texted and ready for uploading to the archives can be added to an upload queue and uploaded, or they can be burned on a DVD, straight from the application.
	Unwrap MXF files
	ViArchive XPRESS also supports unwrapping MXF files. This functionality extracts metadata and saves the video in AVI format with metadata in attached sidecar.
	ViArchive XPRESS is not a standalone product, but can be included in any installation which includes ViArchive Server.
